XRP Airdrop Snapshot Completed, Here’s What’s Next for Holders

Evernode, a Layer 2 network aiming to bring advanced smart contract capabilities to the XRP Ledger, has some exciting updates for the XRP community.

Evernode recently announced that the Evers airdrop snapshot for XRP holders has been successfully completed. This snapshot was taken at Ledger "#82237135" on the XRP mainnet.

In another update, Evernode informs XRP holders that they can check their XRP balance captured for the airdrop by visiting the Bithomp explorer. They can simply enter their r-address and use the "Time Machine" feature to find their XRP balance at 8:00 a.m. UTC, which is when the snapshot was taken.

Crypto exchanges Bitrue and Uphold, both known for their support of XRP, have also announced their backing for the EVRS airdrop. This means that XRP holders on these platforms are automatically eligible for the Evernode airdrop by holding XRP at the time of the snapshot.

So, what comes next after the snapshot?

Evernode had previously informed the XRP community about its two-stage airdrop process. The first stage involved the snapshot of XRP holdings on the mainnet, which occurred on September 1 at 6:00 p.m. AEST (8:00 a.m. UTC). The second stage will be the airdrop to qualifying accounts on the Hooks sidechain, based on their XRP holdings on the mainnet.

However, Evernode clarifies that Evers will not be available until Xahau comes into existence. Once Xahau is live, Evers can be distributed, and instructions for claiming the airdrop will be provided to users based on their XRP balance on the XRPL as captured by the snapshot. Evernode is set to be built on the Xahau Ledger, serving as a sidechain to XRPL.

It's important to note that Xahau has not yet launched; only a whitepaper has been released. There are no ongoing Xahau airdrops, giveaways, trust lines, or IOUs. XRP holders are strongly advised not to share their keys with anyone.

Evernode reassures users that they don't need to move or burn any XRP from their XRPL account to facilitate the Evers airdrop.
